LG is in talks with apple to provide LCD displays for future iPhone se products, and these panels have passed the final quality inspection, the elec, a South Korean website, said today, citing industry sources. The report says a new generation of iPhone se devices is planned for release in early 2020.
Considering the cost, it's no surprise that Apple insists on using LCD. According to previous reports, "iPhone se 2" will be equipped with a 4.7-inch display, which is the same size as the iPhone 8. This disappointed some of the original iPhone se fans. After all, they are looking forward to a real small screen. Of course, 4.7-inch is indeed a small screen compared with the new phones that are easy to use 5-6 inch screens.
In recent weeks, there has been a lot of news about the iPhone se 2. Analysts believe that Apple will launch the device at the entry-level price. It looks similar to the iPhone 8, including the thick frame and touch ID home button, but it has a faster A13 bionic chip and 3gb memory. Instead of 3D touch, use haptic touch solution instead.
The device may be available in dark grey, silver and red, with 64GB and 128GB storage options, and is expected to start at $399.
As we mentioned earlier, "iPhone se 2" may not be the final name of the device. The names of iPhone 8s and iPhone 9 are also on the back-up list. Several messages point to the beginning of 2020. A more detailed report says that it may be released at the end of the first quarter.
